Even after I knew,
that our Love could not be,
I still found myself trapped,
and still found myself captivated,
by everything you were and could be...
I was lost in your eyes,
which always seemed to hide a secret,
and captivated by your smile,
which my sad day always needed...
Still, I was young and naive,
and I just couldn't understand,
why you hid your heart away from me,
when all I wanted was to be your man...
I know it was my mistake,
when I let our friendship pass,
because I was young and lost,
and I was not strong enough to face the pain,
but I pray you one day forgive me,
for even after all was said and done,
you're still the one, right here in my heart...
