Today and Yesterday

by

Uzma Sadaf

Still the yesterday has not changed
Today is also like yesterday
There are the clouds of smoke every where
And the new sun has not shone on me
The leaves of the trees are gloomy
The tears have dried in the eyes
They think what for they are
Some body would come and crush them
Or the mad wind would blow them away
And place them on the unknown paths
Unnoticed and unknown
What for is our life
Months pass away and the pages of history
Remain unturned
No figure is changed
No stranger comes to this way
The paths are deserted
From earth to the sky
There are the paths of the desert
Nobody comes across
There is only a sheet
Across which there is no day, no sun
And nobody!
