There Must be Some Excuse to Pass Life
by
Uzma Sadaf
You have gone and left me alone
Its grief is justified in itself
But, O, my friend every body needs some excuse
To pass his life
So I shall try to pass my life with some other excuse
By taking some innocent child into my lap for some moments
By breeding a puppy
By counting the pigeons standing on a roof
By drenching my self in some rainy cloud in the evening
By burning a few lamps on some mysterious shrine
Writing a few meaningless words
By filling some pages of the diary
And then scrubbing them
I shall pass the life any way
O, friend your grief has its place
But I shall find some other way to pass my life.
