The Sun Will Keep On Looking

by

Uzma Sadaf

It does not make any difference
That the songs of the birds are dying
That sudden changes come to civilization
It may die and regenerate
The sun will keep on looking
The moon will keep on rising
At their appointed time.
It does not matter that all the colours
Of the beautiful butterflies, disappear
The beautiful silky and red worms
May dry and wither in their velvet dress
Man may see changes every moment
The mysteries of life may come to light
Or remain hidden from the naked eyes
The arrows of pain may fly away from their bow
But the sun would keep on looking indifferently
All these sports, all these changes!
