Love

by

Tracy w. d.

Love is when you met the guy
Who wiped the teardrop from your eye;
He called you back, just like he said,
and never tried to trick you into bed.

Love is when you found the girl
Who, when she’s with you let herself unfurl;
Born with a smile so young and pretty,
Giving you hope even in the sick, smog of the city.

Love is like the sweetest sin,
and you know for sure you’ll never win.
A blind man sees for the very first time,
Like tasting a sip of the smoothest wine.

Love is, when dancing in the rain,
You forget your bitter hate, anger and pain.
Like when God kissed his newborn son.
Knowing for sure, "Yes, you’re the one."
