Irony

by

Tracy w. d.

Once when I was young
I thought it might be fun,
To buy this neat black wallet,
with cool green trim upon it.

I saved my money for weeks,
and weeks and weeks and weeks.
Eyeing this neat black wallet,
with the cool green trim upon it.

Worked so hard to earn the fare,
So I could put my money somewhere.
Then one day I came to find,
I had just enough, so that it would be mine.

This neat black wallet,
with the cool green trim upon it.
checked my receipt and my eyes opened wide,
and I realized, I had no money to put inside.
