Theresa Cecilia Garcia
Customary levels of communication are broken.
Downward spiral.
She decides to enter the psychotic world of her mind.
Five hospitalizations,
eleven treatments,
life in a New York group home.
Close spaces.
Sleeping together in one room common for bathing, eating,
escaping;
beds carried by witnesses.
The changing of intimate and private behavior,
highly romanticized and intimate self disclosure.
Extremes of hysterical laughter,
passionate weeping ,
violent rage
Emotions displayed openly and indiscriminately.
Commonplace expressions,
not socially acceptable.
Society rules out emotional intimacy.
At this very moment
social attachments appear less vulnerable,
intimacy is all around them,
a most erotic sexual embrace.
Darkness comes alive
devoring her whole!
It comes down to basic nature.
She
remains forever true to hers.
