Beauty of a Girl

by

Solomon Machardson

Do not delay to take

The beauty of a girl

For, like that of a flower,

It fades and droops after a while.

Though its colour be not striking

Or its attraction not galvanizing

Yet, take it while there is still time

For like salt, it loses its tang.
