All That Glitters

Jesus did
not wear the Crown of Gold.
In order to stress the power
Of suffering and of penance,
He was made to wear the Crown of Thorns
The lesson is that though all that glitters
May not be gold, yet they are tempting!
They are the decoys that lead us away
From the path of salvation.
