The Voice

Rusty Broadspear

Rich and menacingly deep purple,

Sweet and touchingly sensuous.

Goblets of warm port on lace doilies,

Shimmer and dance to the tune.

Wickedly playful undercurrents

Scatter spice, warmth and danger.

Words... in quiet loving harmony,

Settle lightly... kiss my ear, from my phone.

Lady of the airways.

Your voice is mine tonight.

And, behold, it is mine alone.
