Dicky Bubby
by
Rusty Broadspear
Poor little dicky bubby lying on the
ground
Used to be so pretty when flying all around.
Pretty little dicky bubby sitting on the fence
Darting into bushes, prickly and so dense.
Cute little dicky bubby tweeting all day long,
All the other dicky bubbies listening to his song.
Playful little dicky bubby tugging at a worm
Stretching it and pulling it and making it squirm.
Tired little dicky bubby bathing in the Sun
Slumbering and snoozing 'til the day is done.
Brave little dicky bubby soaring in the breeze
Diving from on high to his home in the trees.
Now his home's in heaven with his Mum and Dad,
And the dicky bubbies he's left behind are so very, very sad.
Poor little dicky bubby lying on the ground
Used to be so pretty when flying all around.
