Where Forever Couldn't Dance

by

Rhonda Hardin

It had to be our love,
That would never get the chance,
In a place where I thought I was strong enough,
In a place where forever couldn't dance.
The tears that fall,
Are all in vain,
When I learned of its call,
I almost went insane,
Where depression set in,
As reality killed our romance,
Still yet, its truth was,
Where forever couldn't dance.
So tonight as the clocks echo,
to the last hour of our separate paths,
Our love dies,
By morning's pure circumstance.
And I still want to Scream,
I want to CRY,
And yet, you demand that I LAUGH.
In this moment of our goodbye,
Where forever couldn't dance.
