Stolen Innocence

by

Rekhuh J. Allen

She closes her eyes
Holds back her cries
She won't let him hear her break
She blocks out the pain,
wishing it all away
She wonders what she's done wrong
Is this something she deserves?
This wasn't her choice
Her refusals ignored
Her feelings stripped away
Innocence stolen
By someone least expected
She shelters her heart
Crying when she's alone
She wishes it would all end
Looking in the mirror,
recognizing nothing of herself
Another scar added to her reflection
Everything has changed
Nothing left but the pain
Nothing will ever be the same
