The Writers Voice Fighting His Own War by He looks up into the cold night with eyes of icy rage hidden behind a sheet of fear, a fear which has been laid upon him by a demon in disguise. In this boy's eyes he sees the world as a trap that he can never escape from. The ways of his demon cursing and scarring him in ways that can never been healed. In a world like his, darkness is everything and he is consumed in finding the light which will be his saving grace. There are shadows in the darkness that bring his pain with every swirl of black that leaves a mark on his face or a bruise on his side. The scars that are constant reminders of the situation he must face, to live, day to day. The cut across his chest that the knife left after being stabbed into his flesh, ripping at his heart and soul, struggling for a breath of life as the battling raged on. It was finally over and as he thought about holding on he realized that no one could save him from the trap, that he was helpless, and the only way out was to let go...and be free...forever.
