Miss

by

Nicole Higginbotham

and I love her
and I need her
and I miss her
when I see her
picture
on my phone
one memory
that I own
and I love it
when she kisses me
and I need to know
she misses me
and when she whispers
in the morning
I am mourning
because I can't be
next to her
and this must be
a hex to her
as it is to me
I miss her touch
and need it so much
and I need to cry
on that shoulder
I'd die
and for that cause
I would suffer
scrub the mess
like a buffer
take it in
all at once
wince a little
a couple cuts
but my bandage
is her touch
