Looking, Not Found

by

Matthew Grey

Its something so lost,
something that was never real.
It wilts with the frost,
don’t know just how to feel.

Wish for it to be found
then I could feel content.
Is it even around
maybe my time is better spent.

Hunger fills my soul
every day it gets harder to fight.
Its harder to control
this is my eternal plight.

To find one in many
or to even find may in one.
I haven't found any,
even after all I have done.
