A Birthday Wish

a birthday wish heard beyond the stars
a birthday wish sent to a little boy of ours
a boy with a smile, a style and grace
a boy who now rests in a very special place
my birthday wish is whispered on a gentle breeze
a wish that rides the waves of the seas
a birthday for a little angel flying above
your present, a tiny snow white dove
the birthday song sang for you by my heart
on the day of your birth we are not apart
a kiss thrown to the highest of clouds
happy birthday to you i say aloud
i watch the setting sun as the trees swish
for you special one i make a birthday wish
i wish you to be happy, safe, and to smile
i wish to hold you close for just a short while
i wish for you to be able to hear me
most of all Michael i wish your soul to be free
