Torn

by

Martin H. Tesler

Torn between achieving dreams
Of an unconditioned bliss
And the solace of the refuge
Of a fate with love remiss;
She made her choice—she walked away,
Telling me that I'd be missed;
Then she stopped and turned and glanced my way,
Blowing me that one last kiss.
