Wishing I was there

by

Kimberly Woods

So much pain,
Not knowing what to do any more.
Wanting to help,
But knowing no matter what I do,
Won’t.

Knowing she will do something,
But not being able to stop her.
Tearing me up inside,
That I’m never there for her.

Wishing I was a better friend
Wishing I was a better person
With better judgment
Wishing I knew what to do

I’m not ready for this,
This isn’t fair, God.
You didn’t give me the knowledge,
Of how to deal with this.

Crying about everything
Not being able to stop.
Wishing I could just take your pain
And put it on myself

Knowing I’m not good enough for you,
Knowing I’m not a good friend,
Knowing no matter what,
It doesn’t matter.

I love you
