How Can I See

by

Kimberly Wallace

How can I see what the world is showing if I close my eyes to it?
Am I scared to face this world?
That my life will change forever?
How can I pretend nothing is happening when it's all beginning?
Am I scared of the new?
To depend on more then I'm used to?
For I am the one that knows I can't trust in everyone,
For I am the one that knows I have to depend on myself,
To take it all in my own hands and be the only one to blame.
Through your life people will help but they wont tell you what way to go.
They can't do anything in your life if you never put in an effort,
If you never say you can do it,
If you never try.
People will help you but it's your choice.
You can be a someone,
Or you can be no one.
It all depends on how hard you have worked.
It's not the people who help that make you fail,
It's yourself.
