The World On My Shoulders

by

Jonathan Isenor

The world was on my shoulders
I had people breathing down my back
I had deadlines to meet
I had school to attend
Work to go to
A girlfriend to spend time with
I felt the pressure caving in on me

It was like I had everything on me
Finally I had the spotlight in the literary world
A lot of other stuff came with it though
I snapped one day
I couldn't handle the pressure

I wanted to give writing up
But I couldn't
If I'm lucky enough to have fans I want to stay with it
I love signing books
And hearing that I'm good

I took care of my issues and deadlines
Now I'm back in the game
I feel better then ever
Now I'm ready to face the world again.
