To a Sculptor

by

Jolanta Gradowicz

I’m looking at your work, sculptor,
With interest and astonishment.
And I admire you, Master,
For your unquestionable talent.

You sculpted a beautiful face
And captured precisely each movement,
You showed exactly the human race,
Your work is telling though silent…

And I am truly delighted
With the depth of eyes of the figure.
I admire the way you expressed
Their brightness, and joy, and glitter…

You put soul into your sculpture,
And could show what was invisible,
And emphasize its true character -
Your work is really admirable.
