Donít Write the Last Letter to Me

by

Jolanta Gradowicz

Donít write the last letter to me Ė Iíll die!
Oh, no! It may cause my intense anguish.
And donít say to me the last ďgoodbye!Ē
I might go mad or do something foolish...

I donít want to receive your last letter,
So donít write it at all Ė donít waste your time!
There are so many things you can do better.
Perhaps Iíll let you write it in a while...

Donít ask me for the last meeting today -
Could you endure your last words to me?
Keep silent. I wonít hear what you say,
Iíll be deaf and blind. I may not agreeÖ

And donít call me the last time Ė donít do it.
I couldnít accept what youíll mean to say.
Iíll confuse it and think you tell a wit.
Donít kill my love Ė let it grow weak and pale...
