Sometimes

by

John Foster

Sometimes you may think that life is unfair
And you sink slowly down to the depths of despair.
Worried by things going out of control
Your mind and your thoughts you cannot console

Your secret, confided to me long ago
Is now in the open, and all your friends know
The sorrow and suffering, hiding the pain,
behind your soft tears, falling like rain.

But my spirit is with you, holding your hand
Although you are far off in some distant land.
At night, It will wipe away all of your tears
staying with you till morning, chasing the fear.

And when It comes back to me early next day
>From over the sea where the blue dolphins play
It tells me you never will give up the fight,
as my spirit returns to you, night after night.

So now my dear friend, I beg you to listen.
Your troubles have also made my eyes glisten,
along with so many who send you their love,
our thoughts will be heard in Heaven above.

Think only of joy, and the love which abounds
with the hopes and prayers of friends all around.
Who give you the faith and strength to go on,
and despair will vanish, to bring a new morn.
