Self-Esteem

by

Joanna Rozo

She offers him
her body,
He takes it in his hands.
She now belongs to him,
forever in his grasp.
Along with the body,
he takes the heart.
She's left cold and sober.
He leaves and she's empty.
She is left with nothing,
nothing.
He'll come back for more,
and she'll say
yes.
