Acid

by

Joanna Rozo

Acid,
that burning feeling in my throat,
the feeling as hot as fire.
The feeling
that wouldn't go away.

Acid,
those cruel words
that made me cringe,
that made me cry.

Acid,
like a slap in the face,
like a kick in the crotch.

Acid,
it burns,
it scars,
it devours.

Acid,
started to decrease
when i met you.
Disintegrating,
leaking into disappearing cracks.

The Acid is now gone,
now that I have you.
