A Love Not Forgotten

A gracious test when last I see
A loved one that has gone from me
A better place we know he had
A vacuum left that makes me sad
The memory lives and will not die
I won't forget and will not try
The day has come when he will be
Back with his God for all to see
Those that are left will shed a tear
A drop that no one else can hear
Not knowing that they cry in vain
Somehow the tear will stop the pain
Cry not for me he seems to say
For I will be back with you some day!
