Praising Me

by

Hope

When I was right,
I fit in
I fit in with a world not my own
A world that helped me understand
Soon, asked my mother
the difference,
Experience she said
That was the one thing I didn't have
The was the one thing that made me wrong
I questioned her over and over again
Acting like I didn't understand
Trying to convince her I was just as righteous as she
We fight all the time
Part of that is me proving myself to her
I wish it were different but
I feel as if I need to fight
