Drunken Stands

by

Heather Brower

I long for the stench of alcohol
As you kiss the 151 to my lips
Did beer goggles lead you to me bed with me?
A drunken clumsiness as you slip in with me
I taste your sweat
As it rolls down your neck
IM too lonely to turn you away tonight
IM so lonely I persuade you to stay
You took my emptiness for a moment in time
But the sun is coming up soon
For my night of feeling
I walk home numb
While you sleep off your exhaustion
I'll cry myself to sleep
What are you doing next weekend?
