Mind Reader

by

Gala Ruiz Maldonado

You just didn't hear me
Every word that I said
I might as well keep
These thoughts in my head
I can read yours
But you never read mine
So I keep it all in
Tell you all that I'm fine
It all builds up
Because I feel your pain
As you all lie to me
You don't care it's in vain
I sit here, rock back and forth
Trying to know what to do
But like I said, I keep pretending
Like I don't know how it feels to be you
