Because of Me
by
Gala Ruiz Maldonado
Our life, our love it was so great
We hooked so fast, like worms for bait
These worms we were got torn and hurt
And I saw him wear that broken heart on his shirt
I cried and tried to pretend it wasn't real
As I looked at him, hiding what I trully feel
His heart was broken, sadly so was mine
While I wanted him back, so our love could shine
Look what you've done, you've broken his heart and hers
As all the emotions come back to stir
I let him go so all things could get better
Then I quickly realize the truth and look at my tear soaked sweater
I want so badly to mend these hearts, to let our love be free
But then I see it's too late, he no longer loves and it's all because of me
