A Painful History

by

Gala Ruiz Maldonado

I'm so tired of this history
Memories don't just fade away
As I try to say the truth
I just run away and hide
If you knew how it felt
To be like me
Me and all my history
You would get it and let me know
How it feels and let it show through to me
You would know exactly how it felt
Because you would feel it too
The same emotions and pain
It would be so clear
And unmistakable as to why i feel this
But you don't see it now
It's so invisible to you
But soon you shall recognize these things
It will be worse than you imagined
To feel these things that I feel
Because no one like me
Should ever feel the way I do
