Cry Alone

by

Frank Williams

I sit back and think how those girls did me wrong,
I wonder why they ran off when they weren't here for long,
and I wipe a tear from my cheek and think of what could be.
if you say like the others we weren't meant to be.

I had my eye on you since my girl left me blind,
and I've been thinking to myself how I wish you were mine,
do you remember when your boyfriend broke your heart,
we cried the same tears while we were miles apart.

Alone I feel when you're not by my side,
I feel the same when you're with me,
'Cause your heart's not with me, it's with another guy,
but if you give me a chance you're going to see.

I know you cry when you ask yourself why,
if you should be with a player who'll never,
care if you cry, and I won't even lie,
he can promise you a while but I'll give you forever.

Come share your tears with me and let's cry with one another,
so open up your heart and share it with your lover,
I want to know what makes you cry and not,
so I can be the one who always makes it stop.

Wipe my eyes of the tears as only you can,
and soothe the pain that runs through your man,
will you be there for me to hold me tight,
cause I'll do it for you and more alright?

My tears flow like rain my body aches with pain
from not knowing if you're down for me or not,
and let me tell you something 'cause I
almost forgot.

I love you, we need to be together,
I'll show you all the love that you never,
got before and I know you want it,
I'll be the one to give it to you, I won't front it.
