The Writer's Voice

The World's Favourite Literary Website

Elizabeth Maua Taylor

Blue is the color
Of my little girl's eyes,
Blue is the color
Of my room.
Blue is the flavor
Of his kissed lies,
Blue is the tenor
Of my mood.

Blue I love --
Blue I claim.
Blue I am --
Blue I remain.
Blue enclosed --
Blue entertained.
Blue as ice --
Blue ordained.

Blue is the answer
To what questions pose,
Blue is the keeper
Of my pain.
Blue as the sky,
A sick heart, my life --
The color of my garden
In the rain.
