My Daddy

by

Dr. Sirisha Dabiru

Oh my sweet daddy!
How do I express my love for you?
I have lots of things to tell you
My heart is full of memories
Whenever I see a bright star in the sky
I feel you are standing there and wishing me
Whenever I pass over the bridge of a river
I feel you are standing in the middle of the river and waving your hand
When I touch jasmine flowers
I feel you are dissolved in its fragrance
I still remember your
Sparkling smile, Beautiful eyes, Curly hair and Everlasting love
Sometimes I feel guilty
That I am not thinking about you all the time
But I realized
A person specially need not remember a part of his heart and soul
I write lengthy letters to you
Never posted any of them
You are no more in this world
I do not know the address of my heart
Else you would have received bundles of ‘my love’
My dear daddy!
Come into my dreams
I shall tell you I am proud to be your daughter
