Without You

by

Diane Beauton

The sun smiles on the horizon

Morning is breaking anew

But not so for the broken heart

Without you . . .

Blue Jays sing a cheerful tune

Spread their wings and flew

But not so for the hopeless heart

Without you . . .

Twinkling stars waltz in the heavens

Under a cover of midnight blue

But not so for the lonely heart

Without you . . .

Without you . . .

There’s no smile on my face

No song on my lips

No dance in my steps

There’s just a heart

With broken wings that’s blue

Without you . . .
