A Poem

by

Dave Frazier

Ah, sweet poem, please tell me,

Of another time, or place, or thing.

Ring your words upon my ear,

Your song, indeed to sing!

The threnody of passionate chorus,

To inflame my heart's desire!

Your words do string together,

My mind it does inspire.

Now whisper quiet, in hushed tones,

A secret from afar, impart.

A gentle voice does tell to me,

That secret place deep in my heart.

Oh, words, you open up to me,

Truly do I love your giving.

Impart to me upon each morn,

Your sweet tale of living.
