Alone

by

Daniel Greene

He walks alone with others.

He feels abandoned by all.

His intense battle with loneliness,

has ended with his fall.

Sadness and desperation

take their own due toll.

As daylight melts the frost,

his sorrows melt his soul.

For life to keep on breathing,

It must obey its laws.

For it is always changing.

Like water over falls.

There's no way out.

He can't escape all that he is feeling.

He loses the battle and the war,

as he hangs alone from the ceiling.
