April

by

Chantel Rasmussen

Fresh winter morning,

it's a brand new day,

I had no clue,

that my life would change,

my mom came to get me,

at my daddy's place,

then she told me something,

that made tears streak my face,

April is dead,

she died last night,

I'm so sorry sweety,

they couldn't save her life,

my whole world had seemed,

to have fallen apart,

so many tears,

had fallen down my face,

she was so young,

she was only eight.
