My First Time

by

Cesar A. Miranda

There were not many days like this,
Surprisingly it was shiny,
The sun was at the highest of the month,
And I was sitting down, waiting for nothing.

They say if you look for love,
You ain’t going to find it,
It will wait for you to give up,
And find you like a slapping.

I just had to look down,
To receive what life was owing me,
And get everything I prayed,
Everything I cried,
Everything I begged for.

My eyes couldn’t believe,
That they were seeing right,
All my five senses struck me,
There she was, shinier than life.

She took a look at me and smiled,
Unbelievable beauty, I couldn’t believe,
Which reached down my heart,
Deep in to me, she gave me life.

I just had to look down,
To receive what life was owing me,
And get everything I prayed,
Everything I cried,
Everything I begged for.

She was the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,
In a second her eyes caught my attention,
Reflected on me was her shape,
Decorated with the beauty of her perfection.

I was just standing, asking myself,
Tell me God, what did I do?
To receive such a precious,
Angel from heaven, a gift from you.

I just thought,
Man don’t be afraid,
Follow your heart,
Follow it well,
Man don’t be scare,
It is a new feeling I know,
But it is called love.

I just went,
Went up to her,
She gave me a smile,
I won’t ever forget,
My heart just jumped out,
And went up to hers.

We loved each other to the end,
My whole life I saw through her eyes,
Her life she saw through mine,
We traveled the journey of life together.

I just had to look down,
To receive what life was owing me,
And get everything I prayed,
Everything I cried,
Everything I begged for.

Fake I thought of it sometimes,
It was just too perfect,
I heard some noises inside my mind,
And a bright light blinded me.

As I opened my eyes,
I couldn’t hold it, I screamed,
Because I just sadly realized,
That the love of my life, was just a dream.
