Just A Thought

by

Cesar A. Miranda

Through your eyes I see the world,
the light that shines my path,
my window to the future.
What happens if you close your eyes?

Your smile is my inspiration,
to write my poems at night,
to feel my heart is alive every time your name is mentioned.
What happens then when you're sad?

I'm in heaven when I see you,
in hell when I don't,
my heart and my soul are not the same without you,
before I met you I had no one.

Your body, a work of perfection,
brings the wildest emotions to me,
a priceless sculpture, a work of art,
when you're far apart becomes a temple of chaos.

No more to say tonight,
I'm done until next time,
keep enjoying life,
don't mind me, this was "just a thought."
