Rainy Day

by

Celista Tremblay

Rain so sweet as it can be
Dripping off the willow tree

Onto the ground the raindrops flow
Cleaning up the land below

Plants and bushes on the ground
Reaching up without a sound

Holding onto every drop
As it pitter, patter, plops

In the sea and in the lakes
How many rain drops would it take

I love to hear that precious sound
As the raindrops hit the ground
