Leaving Rio

by

C C. Rider

The gentle sun fell on my face.
Could致e been content for all my days.
Then I saw you.
Wanted to be with you.
Saw you more and more.
Felt my heart soar.
But I knew I could never go that high.

I知 sorry
But I知 going
Putting three sails
To the wind in the morning
As the sun climbs
Higher
I値l be getting
Farther away.
I知 leaving Rio in the morning.

So I sailed away
From all my pain,
But it still hurts
To hear your name.
I know I hurt you.
I didn稚 mean to.
Yesterday I was wrong.
Tomorrow I値l be gone.
So today I値l raise
An empty glass to my sin.
And tell you once again..

I知 sorry
But I'm going
Putting three sails
To the wind in the morning
As the sun climbs
Higher
I値l be getting
Farther away.
I知 leaving Rio in the morning.
