I'm Just Me

by

Alisha Morgan

I'm only capable of being me,
Not so often to a tolerable degree

When I get loud, it's good and loud --
Sometimes to the dismay of my crowd.

There are times when I feel like I'd rather die
Often that's the feeling I'm dominated by

But, you know, I have other feelings
It all just depends on life's dealings.

That's why I'm sometimes independent,
Feeling resplendent and transcendent!

Oh, how I love to burst with splendor,
Be proud that I am of such a gender.

To feel sexy and turn him on
Make him moan, then come upon.

Still, I'm made up of more
Here's my invitation to come inside and explore

I'm like an open book, if you read between the lines
There's no telling what my mind confines

But, just come and see --
I think you'll like me being me.
