Disease
by
A. L. Anthony

Please, leave me alone
You're sucking my life dry
Making me too ashamed
to go outside
Can't get a date
Can't talk
Have no friends
Oh god, you're moving onto
my insides
Spreading like a disease
No mercy shown
Killing my confidence
and taking no prisoners
Only way to escape is to
slit the wrists
jump the cliff
pull the trigger
Or wait
for the better
times
Medications can't kill you
But I will prevail!
I'm choosing the latter option
Of waiting you out
I'll hide in my room
Windows closed, door shut
Until death or
Praise the lord!
My acne clears up
