Harry,
Now it is my turn to be "blown into next week"...I logged on to comment on your flash fiction, but then I saw your new post...this is too good..and so sad...I don't think I will ever get this image out of my mind:
There were thirty three children who sat alone in the basement of the First Lutheran Church on that St. Valentine’s Day. We did not know we were orphans and we were too young to cry.
I am at a lost for words... _________________ Do not go gentle into that good night.

That's very kind of you, Linda. I threw my own voice away for this one and let the little boy speak for himself. He's the one that should get the tribute. |

Then, thank you, Josef, for opening your heart in possibly the last days of your journey. And thank you, Harry, for opening a great and effective door for the young Max. (1 Corinthians 16:9) _________________ Do not go gentle into that good night.

Harry,
Just read Saint Valentines Day and i think it's a really powerful, well written story. Where did you get the idea from? |

Thank you Cara.
I suppose it's because I spent 5 years of my life in that war and never really understood what the rationale was for fire bombing Dresden, since the surrender of Germany was imminent. _________________ We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.

Harry,
What a powerful story this is. I think that poor boy only had one parent for a very long time. The boy's voice is loud and clear and he brings us along with him every step of the way. So many times I wanted to cry as I read. Everyone has an idea of the atrocity of war. Seeing it through the eyes of a child really brings those horrors home.
Well done, my friend. It was a honor and pleasure to read.

Harry, it is wonderfully an effective story creating the repulsive emotions againt war and glorifying the cries of the innocent so loudly and so silently. _________________ ehsanelahi |

Herry, it is of course a matter of great pleasure to rejoin you and all other friens. Thank u for your concerns about me, my family and friends. What are the conditions here and how are we feeling, I have just now submitted a new poem to the writers-voice which reflects the feelings of all common Pakistanis. Thank you again for your kind wishes. _________________ ehsanelahi |
