<<...but, I wonder if this state can truly be found in our current world? >>

But we may find a peaceful corner somewhere.

"And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more...."

I am reminded of another dreamer, Ehsan...MLK...however, this corner of peace is a dream worth pursuing...whatever the cost!

This dream is important Linda, not only for us but also for the coming generations. This reminds me of a short poem by me. I hope you would like it.

Do Not Allow Your Eyes to Shed

Do not allow your eyes to shed
The precious tears in despair
Such like pearls are never found
Into the sea of worldly life
These are the gifts of God to man
Covered in the wrap of love and truth
Don't waste them in idle pursuits
And don't become an ungrateful man
If you have to shed your tears
Shed them for the days gone by
For the joys and sorrows that you had
For the plight of suffering man
For the miseries of the friends
For the beauties gone from earth
For the hearts that are dead
For the glories lost for ever
If you have to shed your tears
Shed them for the happy dreams
Seen by man and lost by man
If you have to shed your tears
Shed them for some noble aim
Of bringing joys to human race
And endless pleasure to all mankind.

If a politician can't maintain their own humanity in the face of the grinding wheels of parliament what hope can we have for them being responsible for anyone elses? They'd think twice about the fate of the planet if there was a photo opportunity in it, but they've probably already got their prebuttals worked out for St Peter when they're standing at the pearly gates having to justify their actions. It's unfortunate for these men that karma works on a time delay and often seems to have a long enough fuse to allow them to escape the explosion.

Hello Psgri2003, well come to this forum.

All this hypocritic activity,
