And no, I don't mean to be blasphemous when I say this. What I am asking is will the world ever speak in one tongue and be able to come together to make some kind of towering monument to the best of what humanity has to offer? Or shall we forver be sundered by our mother tongues and the idiocy that they call nationalism?

Yes Paul it is possible if the tongue of force and hegemony is set aside and the tongue of love, sympathy, equality and brotherhood is adopted.

That is an interesting idea, Ehsan. You are talking, not of a national tongue so much as a tongue. or language of ideas. Not a world where everyone speaks English for instance, but a world where it is ideas of 'love, sympathy, equality and brotherhood' that we talk in. I like it. i hope that it may come to pass. If there are enough people listening surely the message shall be heard.

It just worries me that they say when you are ready the teacher appears -- when will most of the world be ready?

The world will be ready when we prepare it to become ready. The start can be taken to make it think where is it going with the false standards of life. What are we actually gaining by the artificial kind of life which we have adopted. What for is this show of power and the ambition to subdue other human beings. Why are we spending so levishly on the invention and maintenace of atom bombs and other nuclrear devices. Can this money not be utilized to improve the poor conditions of living. When we replace artificiality, hegemony, and ambition to capture all the sources of life (depriving those who deserve more) with sympathy, equality, love, simplicity and brotherhood, we shall be taking a start to rebuild the tower of Babel.

Time is gone by when man could dream of
Building the Tower of Babl and vision
What could be made by man of manifest
His great aspirations in the form of monuments
Now there is no dream of making something
Good and aesthetic, man is busy
In thinking all the time how can he
Destroy his fellowbeings within the minimum
Space of time and involving minimum number
Of human beings
The machines are made busy to go on thinking
How and what new methods can be invented
To obliterate the creature called man
This act of devastation is carried on to
The beautiful blue sky and the shining moon
Man is now dreaming to sea the monuments
Raised in the memory of his destructive
And devastating accomplishments
And he is careful to reckon that no man is left
On this earth to see except those
Who would shift to the space and rejoice
How succesfully have they achieved
What they dremed of, the destruction of humanity..
